Huge Refoam Kit Sale - POLYETHER foams sold in PAIRS.
(Gaskets sold individually.) Don't forget to list Dustcap Size - see FAQ. (Foams supplied can have slight variances due to production changes.)
Measure the inside diameter (ID) and outside diameter (OD) of your original foam. Imagine your speaker is a clock. To get the OD- measure from the outside edge of the original foam at 9:00 across the center of the speaker to the other outside edge of the foam at 3:00 (remove gaskets if they block your view). (Even if the foam is completely disintegrated, you can see a line where it has been.) To get the ID do the same thing from the inside edge of the foam across the center of the speaker to the other inside foam edge. Do not measure the speaker frame or cone. Some speakers have an extra large outside frame that can cause confusion. When you are ready to pick out the right foam for you, remember, the inside edge of the foam will overlap the outside edge of the cone by approximately 1/4" (0.250). < See pictures >
The perfect refoam kit for your speaker's measurements might not exist. You might have to adapt an available foam to fit your needs. You can cut and seam a slightly larger foam to fit your smaller speaker requirements or slightly stretch a foam to fit a slightly larger need.
